Dr. Priyanshi Ritwik is a distinguished pediatric dental specialist whose career has centered on advancing oral health care for children and adolescents. She earned her Bachelor of Dental Surgery from India and thereafter gained practical experience in the Kuwait Ministry of Health, delivering dental care to elementary school children.
Her passion for pediatric dentistry led her to the United States, where she completed a residency in Pediatric Dentistry at the Louisiana State University School of Dentistry and earned a Master of Science in Oral Biology. She is a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, a Fellow of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and the American College of Dentists—credentials that reflect her commitment to excellence in pediatric oral care. She has served as the postgraduate program director at LSUHSC School of Dentistry as well as the director for the Special Children’s Dental Clinic.
In her professional role, Dr. Ritwik balances a busy academic appointment as Professor in the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at the UTHealth Houston School of Dentistry with active clinical practice and research. She regularly lectures at national and international venues, contributes to evidence based guideline development for pediatric oral health, and serves as a consultant to the Commission on Dental Accreditation and other professional bodies. She is also an active member of the examination committee of the ABPD.
Her clinical interests are wide ranging within pediatric dentistry, encompassing pulp therapy, children with special healthcare needs, pediatric oncology, pharmacologic behavior guidance, dental traumatology and minimally invasive dental care for children. Dr Ritwik is a clinician scientist who balances education, research, service and clinical practice.
With her global training, deep expertise, and warm patient centered approach, Dr. Ritwik embodies a true advocate for children’s oral health—advancing both education and clinical care in the field of pediatric dentistry.
