I am Dr. Leidys Tatiana Galvis Restrepo, DMD, MSA, and I am a pediatric dental resident at Howard University with over 18 years of experience in dentistry. I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Universidad Santo Tomás in Bucaramanga, Colombia, and a Master of Science in Health Care Administration and a Human Resources Certificate at Central Michigan University.
I completed general practice residency training in Advanced Education in General Dentistry (AEGD) at the University of Mississippi Medical Center, which enabled me to pursue my passion for general dentistry and to learn extensively in restorative dentistry, endodontics, periodontics, and oral surgery. In addition to this training, I advanced my treatment planning skills and patient-centered care.
I am a proud United States Army veteran, where I served with honor and continue to incorporate the values of discipline, service, and leadership into my professional practice. I am bilingual in English and Spanish, which allows me to effectively communicate with diverse patient populations and improve access to care.
I am committed to delivering comprehensive, evidence-based pediatric dental care and to continuing professional development. The knowledge I gained helps me provide excellent care and support the communities I serve toward better oral health.
