Dr. Crystal Latre Smith DMD, MS, is a current pediatric dentistry resident with NYU Langone Health with a strong academic foundation and a passion for providing compassionate, patient-centered care. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from Tufts University of Dental Medicine after completing her Bachelor of Science in Biology at the University of Texas at San Antonio and obtaining a Master of Science in Biomedical Science from Mississippi College. Originally from Dallas, Dr. Smith brings both academic excellence and a warm, engaging approach to her work with children and families.
In her clinical training, Dr. Smith has developed a particular interest in patient education and preventive care, with a focus on empowering families through accessible, evidence-based information. Her research interests include improving parental understanding of pediatric dental conditions and enhancing communication strategies within diverse patient populations. She is committed to fostering positive dental experiences for children and creating supportive environments that build lifelong oral health habits.
Outside of Dentistry, Dr. Smith enjoys expressing her creativity through writing short stories, curating stylish and run outfits, and exploring new restaurants and dining experiences. Known for her vibrant personality and approachable demeanor, she values connection, community, and balance.
