Samaneh Pournaghi, DMD, MPH

My name is Samaneh Pournaghi, DMD, MPH. I am a second-year resident in pediatric dentistry at the University of Louisville School of Dentistry. Prior to joining the residency program, I served as a clinical faculty member in the Comprehensive Dentistry Department at the same institution.
I earned my DMD degree from Shahid Beheshti University of Medical Sciences in Iran in 2019, after which I worked in a community health center in underserved and remote areas of Iran for approximately two years. I also obtained a Master of Public Health (MPH) in Health Promotion from the University of Louisville School of Public Health in 2023.
Following graduation, in addition to practicing in a private clinical setting, I hope to continue providing dental care to underserved and remote communities while also pursuing opportunities in academic teaching.
