My name is Dr. John Kraynik, and I am a PGY-2 pediatric dentistry resident at the University of Illinois Chicago College of Dentistry. I earned his DMD from Nova Southeastern University, where he dabbled in research by assisting orthodontic residents on their thesis projects. I am a proud Charlotte, NC native, and I am looking forward to returning home after residency — where we'll be closer to family and welcoming a baby boy on the way. My research interests focus on how social determinants of health shape urgent dental care needs in underserved pediatric populations.
