Michelle Kim, DDS, MA, is a third-year pediatric dentistry resident at the University of North Carolina Adams School of Dentistry. She earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree from Columbia University College of Dental Medicine and a Master of Arts in Teaching from Columbia University Teachers College. Dr. Kim’s academic and clinical interests focus on improving access to care and oral health outcomes for children with craniofacial conditions, with an emphasis on interdisciplinary care and health equity. Her master’s thesis examines the relationship between geographic access to dental homes and oral health outcomes among patients in a craniofacial population. She is passionate about combining clinical care, research, and education to better serve vulnerable pediatric populations.
