Chandler Roof, DDS is a pediatric dental resident at the University of Oklahoma College of Dentistry located in the Oklahoma Children's Hospital with a strong commitment to serving underserved communities through public health dentistry. Dr. Roof earned her Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2023 from the University of Oklahoma and began her career as a general dentist with the Indian Health Service, where she spent a year providing comprehensive care in rural Oklahoma.
During her time with the Indian Health Service, Dr. Roof developed a deep appreciation for the unique challenges and rewards of practicing in underserved and rural settings. Her experiences strengthened her passion for improving access to care and addressing oral health disparities, particularly among pediatric populations.
Currently pursuing advanced specialty training in pediatric dentistry, Dr. Roof is focused on delivering compassionate, patient-centered care tailored to children and individuals with special healthcare needs. Her clinical interests include preventive dentistry and minimally invasive treatment approaches that promote long-term oral health.
Dr. Roof plans to return to the Indian Health Service following completion of her residency, where she aims to continue making a meaningful impact in public health dentistry. She is dedicated to building trusting relationships with patients and families while advocating for improved access to quality dental care.
Outside of dentistry, Dr. Roof enjoys spending time with family, staying active, and engaging with the community.
