I am Dr. Meena Thapa Magar , DMD, a Pediatric dental resident at Nova Southeastern University in Ft. Lauderdale, Florida. I am dedicated to providing compassionate, high-quality dental care to children, with a focus on behavior guidance, preventive dentistry, and the management of patients with special health care needs.
I earned my BDS degree in Nepal and my DMD with honors from the University of Pennsylvania, and I have since pursued advanced training in pediatric dentistry. During my residency, I have developed strong clinical skills in restorative care, pulp therapy, sedation, and hospital-based dentistry. I am particularly passionate about creating positive dental experiences for young patients and helping reduce dental anxiety through effective communication and patient-centered care.
In addition to my clinical training, I served as a general dentist in the United States Army, where I honed my skills in diverse clinical settings and gained valuable experience serving a wide range of patient populations. I am also actively engaged in academic and professional development, participating in research and educational initiatives focused on improving oral health outcomes in pediatric populations. My interests include early childhood caries prevention, minimally invasive dentistry, and advancing access to care for underserved communities.
I am a proud member of the American Academy of Pediatric Dentistry and remain committed to lifelong learning and professional growth. I look forward to continuing my career in pediatric dentistry, combining clinical excellence with a compassionate approach to improve the oral health and well-being of children and their families.
