Dr. Anthony Michael is a board-eligible pediatric dental resident committed to delivering compassionate, patient-centered care to children, including those from underserved communities and with special healthcare needs. His clinical philosophy focuses on creating positive dental experiences that promote lifelong oral health and reduce dental anxiety in pediatric patients.
Originally from Nigeria, Dr. Michael came to the United States for higher education while competing as a collegiate tennis player. He earned his Bachelor of Science in Premedical Biology from Virginia Union University (Richmond, VA) and his Master of Science in Chemistry from George Mason University (Fairfax, VA). He received his Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) degree from Howard University College of Dentistry (Washington, DC). He is currently in specialized training in pediatric dentistry at Cohen’s Children’s Medical Center, Northwell Health (New Hyde Park, NY).
Dr. Michael has participated in multiple outreach initiatives across the United States, providing dental care to underserved populations through programs such as Remote Area Medical. His professional interests include behavior guidance, preventive dentistry, and improving access to care for vulnerable pediatric populations.
Outside of dentistry, he enjoys spending time with his family, traveling the world, playing tennis, and engaging in community service.
