Jiarong Zheng, Student

Jiarong (Jolyn) Zheng is a Biochemistry and Spanish double major at Wellesley College, where
she serves as the President of the Wellesley College VOICEINSPORT (VIS) Foundation
Chapter. With a strong interest in the advancement of dental medicine and clinical research, she
currently shadows at an endodontics office. As a varsity student-athlete on the Wellesley
College swimming and diving team, she demonstrates a disciplined approach to both her
academic pursuits and her leadership within the collegiate community, where she is a Wellesley
College Swim Instructor. Jolyn uses her role with the VIS Foundation to address disparities in
sports for women and girls through targeted education and advocacy. Her experience also
includes serving as a tutor for the Paper Airplanes English Program, where she is a language
tutor to individuals in conflict-affected regions.
