Dr. Alexandra N. Makara, a Long Island native, is a board-certified pediatric dentist and the Northeast representative for the AAPD Council on Postdoctoral Education. She earned her DDS from New York University College of Dentistry and completed her pediatric dentistry training at the University of Rochester’s Eastman Institute for Oral Health. A Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry, Dr. Makara serves as full‑time faculty at the Stony Brook University School of Dental Medicine, where she is committed to advancing excellence in pediatric oral healthcare and education.
