Haizel Botwe, DMD, is a Pediatric Dentistry Resident at Howard University College of Dentistry. She earned her Doctor of Dental Medicine degree from the University of Illinois at Chicago and is currently pursuing advanced training in pediatric dentistry with an emphasis on behavior guidance, dental anxiety, and patient-centered care. Her scholarly interests focus on the intersection of physiologic stress, clinical practices, and social determinants of health, particularly as they influence children’s experiences in the dental setting. Dr. Botwe is committed to advancing equitable, compassionate care and aims to integrate evidence-based approaches that enhance both clinical outcomes and patient well-being. Outside of dentistry, she enjoys travel, fine dining, and cultural experiences that inspire her personal and professional growth.
