Jasmine S. Copeland, DDS, MHS, Pediatric Dentistry Resident at Howard University College of Dentistry, is a dedicated clinician and researcher with a strong focus on improving access to care and reducing disparities in pediatric oral health. Her work centers on dental insurance literacy and its impact on treatment utilization, caregiver decision-making, and oral health outcomes in children. Dr. Copeland earned both her Doctor of Dental Surgery (DDS) and Master of Health Science (MHS) degrees from Meharry Medical College, where she developed a strong foundation in clinical care and public health research. Through both clinical practice and research, she explores how caregivers navigate complex insurance systems and how gaps in understanding can impact treatment decisions and children’s oral health outcomes.
