Dr. Taibah AlBaker graduated from Kuwait University – Faculty of Dentistry, earning two bachelor’s degrees during her seven years of study: a Bachelor of Medical Sciences in Dentistry (B.Med.Sc) in 2013 and a Bachelor of Dental Medicine (B.D.M) in 2016. She subsequently pursued advanced training at Virginia Commonwealth University (VCU), where she obtained a Certificate in Advanced Education in Pediatric Dentistry in 2021 and a Master of Science in Dentistry in 2023. During this period, she also completed two additional years of specialization in teaching and clinical practice within the Department of Pediatric Dentistry at VCU (2021–2023).
Dr. AlBaker became a Diplomate of the American Board of Pediatric Dentistry (ABPD) in 2022 and obtained a Fellowship status in the Royal College of Dentists of Canada (F.R.C.D.C.) in 2024.
She currently serves as a full-time pediatric dentist in the Cleft and Craniofacial Unit in Kuwait, the only center in the country providing comprehensive care for patients with cleft and craniofacial conditions. She is also an adjunct faculty member at Kuwait University – Faculty of Dentistry, where she teaches predoctoral students. In addition, she has worked as a part-time pediatric dentist at NBK Children’s Hospital, managing patients with hematological and oncological conditions. Since February 2024, she has held the position of Affiliate Clinical Assistant Professor at VCU.
In March 2025, Dr. AlBaker published her first manuscript as first author.
