UT Health San Antonio
Dr. Teresa Vu is a resident pediatric dentist at UT Health San Antonio.
After graduating from the University of Texas at Austin with a Bachelor of Science and Arts in Biology, a Minor in Sociology, and an Honors Certificate in Creative Writing, she became the first dentist in her family by graduating from the College of Dental Medicine at Roseman University of Health Sciences in South Jordan, Utah. There, she won multiple awards, including the National Health Service Corps Scholarship. Immediately after graduating from dental school, Dr. Vu became the first dental specialist in her family by pursuing her Certificate in Pediatric Dentistry at UT Health San Antonio.
Dr. Vu is passionate about reducing healthcare inequalities among children, society's most vulnerable population. She believes it is an honor and a privilege to be entrusted with the care of these babies. Whether it is creating positive experiences in the dental chair or completing full-mouth dental rehabilitations under general anesthesia in the operating room, she is so grateful to be their dentist. Following graduation from residency, Dr. Vu will work in a Federally Qualified Health Center in Austin, Texas, where she can make a difference in a community that is so close to her heart.
In her free time, Dr. Vu enjoys experimenting in the kitchen with baking and cooking, spending time with her loved ones, and exploring new parts of the world.
