Deanna Choma is a second-year pediatric dentistry resident at the University of Florida. She earned her undergraduate degree from the University of Florida and her Doctor of Dental Medicine from the University of Pennsylvania. Her academic interests center on pediatric restorative dentistry and evidence-based clinical outcomes.
Her current research focuses on a prospective clinical study evaluating the color stability of primary maxillary incisors following pulpotomy with Biodentine and restoration using resin-based strip crowns. Through this work, she aims to provide clinically relevant insights into esthetic outcomes in pediatric patients.
Outside of dentistry, Deanna is a former University of Florida water polo athlete and now serves as a coach for the same team, which won a national championship during her time as a player and is currently preparing to compete at nationals again.
