I'm a Diplomate of the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology and an Associate Professor and Chair of the Department of Oral Pathology and Research at Howard University College of Dentistry. A retired United States Air Force Colonel with more than 24 years of distinguished service,who served as a Head and Neck Pathologist and Forensic Dental Officer.
I earned my Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 1992 from Howard University College of Dentistry and subsequently completed three (1992-1995) General Practice Residencies at Harlem Hospital Center, followed by a fellowship at the Northport Veterans Affairs Medical Center (1995-1996). I also completed specialty residency in Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology at The New York Hospital Medical Center of Queens in 1999 and successfully challenged the American Board of Oral and Maxillofacial Pathology in 2001.
During my Air Force career, I served as Element Commander and Forensic Dental Officer, contributing to the dental identification of more than 130 U.S. service members associated with aircraft mishaps(Osprey accidents, 1999), the USS Cole attack (2000), and military operations during Operation Iraqi Freedom and Operation Enduring Freedom. Currently I contribute to the advancement of diagnostic pathology at Howard Universty Hospital Department of Pathology and pre-doctoral and graduate education at Howard University College of Dentistry and Howard University Hospital.
