Lake Braddock Sec. School
William Pham is a student and youth leader dedicated to advancing oral health and community wellness. He is currently attending Lake Braddock Secondary School in Burke, Virginia, USA.
Building on years of leadership and volunteer service, William co-founded the Green Kites International Association with the simple belief that every child in Vietnam deserves a lasting, beautiful, and healthy smile. He champions health equity in underserved communities throughout the United States and Vietnam.
His extensive work includes securing corporate sponsorships, raising funds through charity events, ticketed art exhibitions, and obtaining in-kind donations to help improve the lives of children in rural, underprivileged communities with limited access to dental care. He spearheaded the Smiles for Life Across Lao Cai Initiative and Smiles for Life Across Dak Lak Initiative by collaborating with local governments, health officials, schools, grassroots organizations, and citizens to create lasting impact in the communities he serves.
His numerous dental health projects have resulted in thousands of children and adults receiving pro bono dental services, dental hygiene supplies, mouthwash solutions, and impactful dental education.
A Life Scout and Senior Patrol Leader with Scouting America, William has led many service initiatives, including a conservation-themed public art project and youth cultural events throughout Northern Virginia. He is also the founder of his school’s Dentistry Club, a regional science fair winner, and a presenter at local and international conferences on dental and public health topics. Complementing this, he co-founded Health4NoVA.org, an online resource connecting Northern Virginia residents with free and low-cost medical and dental care, helping local communities navigate healthcare access.
From neighborhood clinics to rural villages abroad, William finds joy in volunteering for dental missions, where he combines his love of service with a growing passion for dentistry and public health.
